Hello there.
It’s yours truly, “Ricco”, one of the writers behind the dialogues, lore, NPC character creation, animation quality control and everything in between. I’m here to talk about a few things that our team have been working behind the scenes to improve and expand the LOK: Rebirth game. And with that I humbly present to you all what you can expect in the near future.
- Discord Changes
First of all we did some cleaning in our discord server, removing some topics and chats that were not in use anymore and were just there to get dusty. We also did a small change on how our discord is organized, making things clear and clean for our supporters and dwellers in our chats.
- Keakrix Update
On the next topic. We’ve decided to add extra content for a few existing characters already in the game to make them more engaging and more relevant. The first character we decided that deserves to get a content expansion is the huntress Keakrix.
For her expansion you’ll be able to help her on her preparation before a hunt and later be able to go along with her to help her bring more game back to the village for their meat and hide. But don’t stray too much away from the path as there are certain… “dangers” in the area. Explore at your own… ahem… “peril”.
This expansion will feature more and new dialogues along with several new scenes with Keakrix and some environment outside the village.
Kay will not be given a bow and arrow. She will only tag along with Keakrix to talk and help her carry the dead animal that Keakrix hunts.
Kay: “Crap… I was hoping to get something for myself…”
Keakrix: “I… hmm… I can teach you how to shoot later…”
Kay: “Oh? Thanks.”
- Talk about Envoys. Different tribes (Short descriptions for each of them)
Now for those eager for more lore-related news. I’ve received a tip about the existence of different tribes in the jungle and it seems like they are sending some envoys to a diplomatic meeting in the Razorclaw tribe village. So who are these other tribes? Where do they live? What do they stand for? Are they friendly now or still holding a grudge against each other? Will our vixen pilot be present to assist on this possible diplomatic mess?
Kay: “Wait… wha?”
Kay: “What the fuck do you mean? Hey! I’m talking to you…”

First we have the Varungar, a brother tribe of the Razorclaws that split long ago as both went their separate ways. The Varungar are the most honorable of the tribes, being protectors and defenders of the jungle. Long ago during the war against the snake invaders, they studied and adopted the invader’s shieldwall strategies and adapted it to suit better in the jungle environment. Fine warriors trained to use shields and spears to hold their ground against all odds in a battle of attrition where the most resilient wins at the end.
Banaskjon. Hunters, trackers, experts on blending in the jungle, master marksmans with the bow and arrow. For them hunting is not just another job to gather food to survive, it’s an art. They like to gather trophies of their hunts and proudly show on their gear, be it a pelt of another animal that was hard to put down or claws and fangs of a wild predator to show others that even the natural predators of the jungle can become a prey. But they are not keen to join other tribes in conflicts unless it’s untimely necessary as they prefer to isolate themselves and be left alone.
Lastly we have the blood thirsty Blotungard. The most vicious and aggressive tribe of all, surviving on pure instincts and sheer primal aggression as the old tradition requires them to be, even if it means to reduce their own numbers. But what they lack in numbers they compensate in dead bodies and bloodshed of their enemies. They are berserkers to simply put. Their rite of passage to adulthood involves them to go out of their village, survive on their own and defeat someone, being a Sultari invader or a member from another tribe, and bring back their weapon as combat spoils and proof that their worth to the tribe. Those who fail or return to the village with empty hands are killed.
- Additional Dialogue features
Additionally, we are now porting the dialogue artwork into Unity, which will allow us to refurbish and improve the dialogue experience within the next few coming updates. This new feature was made by our talented code master Ron, allowing us to make the whole dialogue more appealing to our audience’s eyes with gorgeous art of each major character.

Each major character will feature a variety of expressions to better show the tone and their reaction on each topic or event. And don’t worry, these arts will not be featured during the intimate and lustful scenes in the game allowing you all to enjoy our animations that we worked hard to design and create.
Most recently we have discussed the envoy quest and how we want to approach it. We’ve also created early concept art for the envoys, each one a representative of an old tribe that once marched under the same Razorclaw banner. The fine two on the far left are members of the vicious traditionalist Blotungard, the middle being the legendary archers the Banaskjon, and the right being the honorable shield bearers the Varungar. All of them will have unique scenes with Kay acting as the eye candy and influential exotic piece for the negotiations.
The discord has also had some major changes, removal of clutter, and condensing of chats. Check it out if you aren’t already in it!
More combat animations are also being produced, in addition to some basic weapons to animate for testing. The ultimate goal is to produce a combat testing environment that we can spend time balancing against each new added enemy, a combat arena that you will eventually be able to test yourself.
We’re coming closer every day to a functioning gameplay loop, and it has us quite excited.
That’s all for now, have a good day and see you very very soon with the new build’s post.
